# Insights API

The Insights API gives your AI assistant access to the trend intelligence your organization already tracks within Nichefire.

Unlike Firesearch which searches public sources for current information, the Insights API works with the topics and trends saved in your organization’s Nichefire workspace. This allows users to explore existing intelligence conversationally without navigating the underlying data manually.

It is available through compatible MCP clients, including Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and custom AI agents
